Pythe

Connectors overview

Connect once and Pythe reads your numbers and your employees can act in the app, always with your approval. Tokens stay on the server and are never put on a computer.

Where each connection lives

  • Slack, Notion, HubSpot, GitHub, GitLab, Stripe and PostHog are connected per workspace.
  • Google is connected per person, not per workspace. Disconnect any time and the token is deleted.

Approval-gated actions

Employees can act in five apps today: Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot and GitHub. Publishing a website goes through Vercel. Every one of these waits for your approval; see Approvals. Linear, Stripe and PostHog are not action targets yet.

How tokens are handled

  • Tokens are stored on the server and used only on the server.
  • No token enters an agent’s computer. The one exception is a pull request, where a single git push is handed your GitHub token as an environment variable read by a credential helper. It is never written to disk or into the repo’s config.
  • HubSpot access tokens refresh themselves.
  • Stripe: Pythe never gets your API keys and cannot move money. It uses read access.

Asked for in a chat

When an employee needs an app that is not connected, it uses request_connector. A Connect button appears in the chat and takes you straight to sign-in. Once you finish, the run carries on. It does nothing if the app is already connected.
