Alerts and email
Get told when work finishes or needs you, even with the app closed. Browser notifications while a tab is open, and a short email when you are away.
Updated 2026-10-13
Turn alerts on or off in Team in HQ, under Alerts: one switch for browser notifications and one for email.
The email
Browser notifications need an open tab and do not work in iOS Safari. Email does. Pythe sends one short email when work finishes or needs you, with the first page of the preview when there is one, and a link that opens the chat where you asked for the work, at the delivery or the thing that needs you.
| When | |
|---|---|
| Delivered | The thing you asked for is ready. |
| Partial | Some of it was made. |
| Failed or no deliverable | The run did not finish or did not make the file. |
| Approval | An action is waiting for your OK. |
| Connect | A run needs an app connected. |
| Takeover | A run is stuck at a screen only you can pass. |
| Question | A run is waiting on your answer. |
Rules that keep it quiet
- No email for a helper’s part of a bigger job.
- No email if the run ended or asked within the first 45 seconds. You are probably watching.
- At most three emails an hour. The rest are skipped; Needs you still has them.
- At most one email per run per state.
- Sent to the workspace owner, and only if email alerts are on.
