Talking to Pytheus
Press the mic in the composer to talk to Pytheus. Ask for work, a draft or your next tasks out loud, and the request lands in the chat you are in.

Voice mode is a call with Pytheus inside the chat you have open. You talk, it talks back, and anything it makes shows up in the chat like any other work.
Start a call
- Press the mic. The microphone button next to Send is Talk to Pytheus. It is there when your browser can use a microphone and voice is switched on for your Pythe. On a phone the call opens as a sheet.
- Start talking. Press Start talking and allow the microphone when your browser asks. Say what you need, like “Make a deck for investors” or “What should I do this week?”.
- Talk, and interrupt any time. The call says whether it is listening or Pytheus is talking. Use Mute and Unmute if you need a moment, and End call when you are done.
What you can ask for
| You say | What happens |
|---|---|
| Make something, or plan something | The request is sent into the open chat as a message, and Pytheus works on it there. The result arrives as a card with a preview, even after the call. With no chat open, the Hand off dialog opens with the brief filled in; look it over and press Hand off. |
| “What are my next tasks?” | The top tasks from your plan show on the call. |
| Change the plan | Pytheus edits your plan and says what it changed. |
| Research something | A short briefing with sources shows on the call. |
| A build prompt, a LinkedIn post or an email | The draft shows on the call with a Copy button. Long ones fold with Read all. |
| Send an email, and say who to | The email goes into the open chat as your request for Pytheus, and it is sent from your Gmail once you approve it. With no chat open, the Hand off dialog opens with the email filled in. |
| Save something | It goes into your Library. |
After the call
The call so far is kept on screen while the window is open. Choose Save transcript to put it into the chat as a note. Pythe saves nothing else from a call: the requests you made out loud are in the chat as messages, and the work they started is in your Library as usual.
When it will not start
- If your browser blocks the microphone, allow it in the address bar and try again.
- If no microphone is found, plug one in.
- If the call says voice is not switched on or not set up, an admin has to finish setting it up. Typing to Pytheus works the same meanwhile.
